A rechargeable NiMH battery type is preferred for small electronic devices that require strong power and are used frequently. Although the NiMH batteries are rechargeable, their useful life decreases gradually over time. Battery performance may be reduced after 12-18 months of use, so replacing the batteries at regular intervals is strongly recommended. The WatchDog LT Rechargeable Batteries are rated at 1100 mA/hr and are typically shipped in packs of three. Lower capacity batteries or batteries of lesser quality have been found to create performance issues in the WatchDog LT Pager. Replacing the Rechargeable Batteries with new batteries of the same 1100 mA/hr capacity ensures continued pager operation at peak efficiency.
A TPL Birdy 3G Desktop Charger is included in the standard package with every Birdy 3G pager. An AC power adapter is also part of the package and provides power to the Charger. The 3G Desktop Charger is designed to recharge the Birdy 3G pager’s 3.7 VDC, 1300 ma Lithium-Ion battery.
The TPL Birdy 3G Charger with Antenna is a standard 3G Desktop Charger with an added connector and circuitry for an external antenna. The Charger with Antenna is designed for situations where you would like to improve message reception in a weak signal area while the 3G pager is charging.
The TPL Birdy 3G Pager Plastic Holster is made of durable molded plastic and is included with each Birdy 3G Pager. The holster consists of an integrated belt clip and a body design that holds the 3G pager securely in place. The front face of the holster protects the pager LCD from potential damage and the transparent holster body allows the user to read messages without having to remove the pager. If the user wishes, the pager can be easily removed from the holster for viewing a message in that manner.
The TPL Birdy 3G Programmer package is made up of a programming fixture, a software CD, an AC Power Adapter, and a USB cable. A PC running Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8, or 10 (32 or 64 bit versions) is required to install the 3G programming software.
The TPL Birdy 3G Rechargeable Battery is the standard power source for the Birdy 3G Pager. It is included in each Birdy 3G pager package along with the Pager, Desktop Charger with power adapter, belt clip and lanyard. Both the Desktop Charger and the alternative Desktop Charger with Antenna can be used to charge the battery.
The TPL Birdy Slim Alphanumeric Pager Belt Clip is a detachable accessory for the Birdy Slim pager that is made of the same durable material as the housing. Although the belt clip is included with each Birdy Slim pager, it can be removed if an alternative leather or textile carrying case is preferred. A replacement belt clip can be ordered if ever lost or damaged.
The TPL Birdy Slim Desktop Charger is a standard item included along with a 3.7 VDC, 700 ma Lithium-Ion rechargeable battery in every Birdy Slim Pager package. A blue LED light strip located on the front base of the Desktop Charger indicates the unit is powered on.
The TPL Birdy Slim Programmer package contains a cradle that is a combination of a programmer and charger, Birdy programming software, and a micro-USB to USB programming cable. The programming cradle is very similar in appearance to the Birdy Slim Charger cradle. The main difference between the two is the LED strip light of the programmer and charger cradle is green while the charger-only cradle LED strip light is blue.
The TPL Birdy Slim Rechargeable Battery is the main supplier of power for each Birdy Slim pager. The lightweight 3.7 VDC, 700 mA Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery is one of the more popular types of rechargeable batteries used in small electronic devices.
The TPL Birdy WP Belt Clip is included and shipped with each Birdy WP POCSAG and Flex Pager. An exception is the Birdy WP POCSAG ATEX intrinsically safe pager that ships with a clear plastic holder instead. The spring-loaded detachable belt clip is made of the same rugged plastic material as the pager housing. Replacement belt clips can be ordered if ever lost or damaged.
The TPL Birdy WP Charger is an option that is offered for the Birdy WP Alphanumeric Pager. Although the pager is powered by a standard “AA” alkaline battery, a Birdy WP Charger is available if a rechargeable “AA” battery is preferred as the power source. The Charger package has an AC power adapter included.
